She has over 30 years of experience in the global Business development and marketing arena. She founded an organization in the food industry and successfully continues to run the corporation since the year 2000. She is also the President and CEO of Mrs. Seafood, Inc, Mala has successfully run the corporation managing global imports and export to the Americas. Prior to Mrs. Seafood, Inc., she was the Global Senior Executive of Sales and Marketing for Mid Pacific Seafood, Inc. for 8years in Los Angeles. She was responsible for increasing business by 60 percent. She initiated additional business by procuring across the world and trading with Asia and America’s. Prior to that, she successfully started, launched and managed the European operations, of Choice, Inc., based in London, England, for Choice Trading Corporation, India in 1991. Mala Raj has a master's in finance & statistics from Loyola College, University of Madras, India. She holds a Bachelor's in History & Philosophy from Stella Maris College, University of Madras, India

Mala has hiked in 1984, Chanderkhani Pass, in the Himalayas, India. She was the Anchor interviewer in the hay days of black & white, Dhoordharshan National TV, Madras. Been around the world and to the remotest places on earth like the Aleutian Islands, Bearing Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk. It was her pleasure meeting Inuit’s. Her one passion involves her heart, she loves meeting people. She founded and is the Chair Women of the Board, of an educational charitable trust, in honor of her beloved parents, “Punyakoti Vedapriya Charitable Trust” in the year 2008. Primarily to empower and motivate economically underprivileged children of Tamil Nadu, India. A little over 300 children have benefited for their college education through the portals of her Trust, as of 2018.
