Graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a B.S. in Managerial Economics & Information Technology. He moved back home, to Los Angeles where he started his career in Marketing Analytics. After a brief stint at a start-up that primed him on the Ad-Tech space, he moved on to Omnicom Media Group. Here he gained important digital media analytics experience with top brands like Levi's, Hilton, Dockers, and Principal Financial Group. In a couple of years, he moved to San Francisco -OMD, where he started working with Ancestry to improve TV and Digital performance across DR and Brand efforts
Currently, he is Analytics Manager at Essence, working with T-Mobile on measurement and testing across Digital and Social Media for all arms of the business. Additionally, he sits on the Product Management committee, helping to oversee the development and management of Essence's propriety analytics products.
Vinay has been involved, as a volunteer mentor with “Big Brothers Big Sisters” of Los Angeles, which is one of the oldest and largest youths mentoring organizations in the United States. He feeds his soul with Music & tries not to miss a concert, even if it meant traveling to the other side of the globe. His love for people and Philanthropy at heart, got him to be deeply involved at a very young age. The Boxing Day Tsunami, which killed over 250000 people across 14 countries, left him forever changed. He reacted swiftly but intelligibly with his huge contributions for the Banda Aceh, Indonesian earthquake & the deadliest tsunami in recorded history. His initiative was driven in a personal way to help affected people in Tamil Nadu and in a huge way to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Fund, in 2004 for the Indian Ocean Tsunami disaster. He sits on the Board of Directors of an Education Charitable Trust, PVCT, India. Motivating and giving a helping hand to the socio-economic underprivileged children of Tamil Nadu, towards higher education.
